Question: Dear sir,
My question is in context to the following video on Youtube: Don’t let love turn into a relationship
Once the wildness of love tempers down, people might assume that, that wildness was infatuation and not probably love. So how do we know if it is love or not? We can give ourselves time, but with time it subdues and may not remain that strong and wild.
Answer: Anuradha Bansal,
It is simple. If it arises on seeing a person, it cannot be love.
Love is not a feeling that arises in the mind when you look at somebody or something.
Love is your own inner sense of well-being, completeness, joy that overflows. Like you – the limited ego- having got something that it too big for it to handle.
Love overflows. This overflowing reaches the ‘other’ as well. But this reaching the ‘other’ is incidental, secondary. The primary part is your own fullness.
To repeat: Real love is basically your own causeless, inexplicable joy. It overflows and reaches all – this is the expression of love.
